Fine wire racing plugs are designed to give you a stronger spark from your existing ignition system. Slightly recessed fine wireiridiumcenter electrode requires less voltage to ionize (jump) the plug gap. This allows a stronger spark which will better ignite the air fuel mixture leading to more power. The iridiumcenter electrode offers increased durability. Fine wire nickel ground electrode to reduce quenching. Hand made in Japan and constructed to withstand the most extreme racing environments. Three Step Colder Racing plugs are recommended only for high-boost Drag/Race cars with heavy modifications. These NGK plugs will get your WRX ready for the track, but they do have a shorter lifespan compared to street plugs.

NGK Racing plugs come pre-gapped. Some customers choose to regap these plugs to correct misfiring or tune for optimal spark -- do so at your own risk -- slide-type plug gapper will damage the fragile iridium tip.
