All of Techna-Fit's assemblies are assembled in-house, meeting D.O.T. Certification. All Techna-Fit hoses have a PVC cover, which gives added protection from flying debris; it also gives some abrasion protection from the line rubbing on other parts and components in extreme conditions under full compression (most movement of line).
Techna-Fit lines are made using teflon hose. The teflon hose has an extruded teflon core, with an outer stainless steel braided wire covering. The chrome or zinc plated steel fittings are then permanently crimped on each end.
Techna-Fit lines reduce volumetric expansion. Over time and under continuous use, OEM rubber lines can swell and expand, exposing the driver to reduced feedback. The rubber cover is also vulnerable to attacks from the ozone layer (rubber deteriorates and causes failure). In extreme applications (auto x, racing, hard driving) rubber hoses might be susceptible to debris, thus causing failure. Stainless steel hoses provide some added protection from these issues.
All kits are standard with clear PVC cover hose and chrome fittings, but are also available in a variety of PVC covering colors including Black, Blue, Charcoal, Red, Smoke, Green, and Yellow. Brake line kits come complete with all of the fittings and bolts for easy assembly. Kits include different configurations for different vehicles, i.e. some brake line kits include 4 lines and some include 6; some clutch line kits replace the entire clutch line and some replace only a portion of the clutch line. Techna-Fits clutch lines and brake lines are made-to-order. Lines typically ship directly from Techna-Fit to the customer 2-3 business days after the order is placed.
