Excess crankcase pressure (sometimes known as "blow-by") is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned by the engine. This recirculated air contains aerated oil from the crankcase which is burned by the engine. Turbocharged, high revving and high mileage engines often draw excessive amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. This billet alloy oil separator and catch tank can be connected between the PCV valve and the intake manifold to remove aerated oil from the recirculated air. The oil collects it in tank which has a plug in the base so that it can be drained and recycled. The tank is also equipped with a level tube so that it is easy to see if it requires draining. To enable an easy installation the tank is supplied with 10mm hose fittings, hose and hose clips and for those vehicles which use larger bore hose we also include 14mm alloy connectors. For mounting purposes the tank is fitted with a two position bracket. The tank external dimensions are approximately 150mm tall with a cylinder diameter of 80mm, with an internal capacity of 0.5 litres.
